Travel ideas for this season

Island hopping along the Dalmatian coast in Croatia is one of the most popular holidays for those who look for back-to-basics fish picnics and secluded sunbathing. Easily the most relaxing way to explore the stunning Croatian coastlines, this cruise promises a wonderfully idyllic and carefree holiday. Staying on a traditional, comfortable cruiser, you’ll glide on azure seas past the coastal treasures of Croatia. Every day, you will spend hours of leisurely cruising through an endless maze of islands, enjoying the fresh fish lunch and relaxing peace onboard.

The boat will drop anchor in colourful harbours to explore romantic islands, and you can take the opportunity to discover one of the famous Croatian natural parks, the idyllic island of Mljet. It is one of the islands lost in the sea, and you can explore it, immersed in the ancient stories of Ulysses.

You will get the chance to swim and snorkel in unimaginably clear waters on the beach ‘Zlatni rat’, a natural phenomenon beautiful pebble beach which extends vertically into the sea, on the southern coast of the island of Brac, a mile from the village of Bol, with the view to the highest mountain in the Adriatic islands, Vidova Gora, 780 m above sea level.

In the chic and celebrated town of Hvar, also known as the ‘Cannes of the Adriatic’, if you fancy cultural sightseeing, you can visit the cathedral, Franciscan monastery, fortress, theatre and Arsenal. In the evening, don’t miss the magnet for celebrities, cocktail bar ‘Carpe diem’, the ultimate party spot in the harbour of Hvar.

Sailing the Dalmatian coast aboard a wooden boat with a small group of passengers and a grizzled skipper, while sipping the intoxicating ‘prosek’ – traditional sweet wine and relaxing on deck, will prove to be an unforgettable experience. What an excellent idea for couples or groups of friends.

Hello...
Split was also the home of Croatia's most famous sculptor, Ivan Mestrovic, before he emigrated to the United States, and his home here has been converted into a gallery housing his work. Marjan Hill, to one side of the city, offers nature lovers lush fir and pine forests. The annual pop-music festival entertains visitors during the hot summer nights, as do theater performances staged outside.

thanks,
Ankush
